Method of operation

The filled cartons reach the closing machine. Belts synchronize the carton to the lug chains. As soon as a pack is positioned and the machine is in synchronized phase the stop station opens. The distance between the cartons is adapted by accelerating belts. After this the packs are delivered to horizontal lug chains. The lid of the carton and the rear flaps are folded. In the main lug chain section a glue trace is applied on to the front flap inside. The front flap is folded and pressed to the front of the carton by a roller station. The carton reaches the second closing section of the machine by a top lug chain. Here the end flaps are glued, folded and pressed to the sides of the pack.
A central size changeover system guarantees short format changeover times (ca. 10 - 20 min./ 1 person).
